It is hard to believe that my baby is growing up so fast. While the age of three has its challenges, I love to see my child’s personality shining through and seeing him become more and more confident in his independence. Micah has always been a sweet boy. I love how he will come up to me and ask me if I am his best friend or tell me I’m pretty (definitely a charmer). He can definitely have his bold moments and he is very sure of what he wants as well.
For some reason, even as a baby, he has had a strong attraction to doors. I never had the problem of him emptying out cabinets. He was always more interested in opening and closing the doors over and over (and OVER) again. It was no surprise to us that he was stuck on one of the doors (below) at the resort where we stayed while vacationing. He thinks automatic doors are funny because sometimes they can’t detect his little body. He could have stood behind this door watching it open and close for hours if we let him. His expression is one that I see often. He will flash that grin at me when he is trying to please me. I love how he made a fist with his right hand–he does this out of excitement.
I needed a little help from John to get him to warm up to the idea of a mini portrait session. I love watching my guys play together. They have such a special relationship. I don’t know what I’d do without them!
I don’t know what it was, but for some reason the sand caught his eye and he just dove right in…and gave me the perfect opportunity to get some adorable shots of him. I will take full credit for those beautiful lashes!!! The second one below is getting printed big!
John kept insisting that he wanted to take some pictures of me. Note that I was not showered after our fun day on the beach and pool, but I know it meant a lot to him to get some shots of me while I’m pregnant. The one below is my favorite of the ones he took. He told Micah to touch my belly and Micah pushed with all his strength.
I can’t wait to see what Micah and John are like with the next one–they are both so sweet and loving…baby is going to be spoiled with hugs and kisses!
