For the past 6 months I have been participating in a blog circle with fellow CMPros with a monthly theme (posts from previous months). The theme for June was fatherhood. This one is so special to me because I’m so blessed and my children are so blessed to have a strong father in their lives. It is a true joy to watch my husband and best friend serve our family sacrificially and with a full heart.
If we were to simply look at how my husband, John, uses his time to determine what is important to him, it would be clear that family is at the top of his priorities. He is always there.
On father’s day, instead of staying in bed sleeping in and taking advantage of his special day, he was up bright and early enjoying some one-on-one time with our son (who happens to be an early bird). They sat talking about telescopes and how we can’t possibly see Pop’s house from our house with a telescope because of the mountains in the way.He looks up to his papi and says he wants to be like him when he grows up.Playtime with papi is always more fun.I can’t possibly end this post without including my incredible father. I’m so blessed to have these two men in my life and even more blessed that my kids get to grow up with their influence in their lives. (my kids really do love them despite the “it’s-been-a-long-day-and-i’m-ready-for-a-bath-and-bed” expressions 🙂 )Now head over to Gigi McGill’s blog for her lovely post and then follow along full circle.
