Their session was my last of 2013 and a nice way to end my year. These two sweet newborn twin boys were a much anticipated gift for their family. I don’t think I’ve ever seen their mommy beaming with as much joy as she was when I arrived to photograph her precious newborns. I sit here looking at their faces in these images and I can’t hold back my smile. I am so incredibly happy for this family. She is one proud big sister!
She makes them a family of four! I loved the time I got to spend with this precious girl. She looks a lot like her big brother when he was a newborn four years ago.
Going into this newborn’s ordering appointment, I could not wait to share her adorable grin with her parents! I think her mommy almost shed a tear when she saw this shot. I know I stared at the image numerous times as I was preparing her gallery. She is such a pretty baby and the dimples just add to the cuteness factor. Nothing like getting a “thank you” smile from your little baby client as you are wrapping up their first ever photo session. If you haven’t noticed, I adore newborn baby details. She was expressive throughout her session, not just at the end.
Third time’s the charm! This session was initially scheduled as a summer family session, but we had to reschedule twice due to uncooperative weather. I know that my client wanted the pretty back lighting available on sunny days and that’s exactly how their day turned out. I could not have been happier to be able to create images in line with my client’s vision. When my clients put thought and effort into planning their portraits, I do whatever I can control to make that happen and I pray about the other things I can’t control (like the weather). There are so many images from their session that I love, but I tried my best to give you a photo overload.
These girls are such sweethearts! The oldest is so articulate and very much into the arts; she was drawing at one point during a little break. The youngest is a bright, inquisitive, and funny girl.
This series is one of my favorite of siblings I’ve photographed. And when a child requests a silhouette photo, you better believe it I’m going to do everything possible to make that happen.Spring and summer will be here before you know it! Let’s start planning your family session. Make 2014 the year you get beautiful art of your family to grace the walls in your home. You won’t be disappointed. email@example.com or 610-334-6027
This family session had a winning combination of beautiful evening light, golden autumn colors, mild temperatures, an amazing backyard, and one of the coolest, laid-back set of parents I’ve met. It’s hard mentioning the latter because I’ve really been blessed with AMAZING families to work with this entire year so I don’t want anyone feeling less cool or anything, but these guys I really like. Their little boy is going to grow up with some pretty awesome stomping grounds. We were in a little boys heaven. The location was perfect for their active and fun-loving toddler.
We were wrapping up our session as I noticed that the sun was setting and the light was just gorgeous. We waited just a little for the sun to lower a bit more and then we ended up capturing some of my favorite images from their session. As I photograph families, I love to take a few minutes to make some images of just the parents because, after all, they are the ones that started it all.Happy ending!
Just like a mother, I often find myself lost gazing at each beautiful face of the newborns I get to photograph. When they are asleep with the gentlest, serene look on their face a mother forgets about the relentless efforts put forth to get her baby to such a state. A mother will simply make every effort to engrave into her memory with the utmost detail the sweet face of her infant. I’m glad that I get to create images of those angelic little faces in case the mother’s memory fails her. This little boy was almost three weeks old at the time of session. He was the least resistant to working with me despite being considered “old” in the world of newborn portraiture. While I always suggest to mothers reserving a newborn session prior to baby’s birth, I find it hard to turn a mother away and will give it my best effort to give her newborn portraits that she can look back on when her child is no longer a baby…because when she looks at the portraits she’ll remember how new he still was.
